We as a society have changed

WHAT HAPPENED
Donald R. Fox
(What has happened to our society over the years?)

I was doing some research about the present Army statistics concerning fitness for Military Service.  After my research, I was discussing the great change within our society with my wife, Shirley.  Concerning this change within our society from the when we were young.  Yes, we as a society have changed.  So what someone says and who cares.  I understand such thinking. However, some changes can hurt society.  As a point did you know our present statistics show that "75 percent of military-age are ineligible for joining the military."

According to Census Facts on WWII, the “WWII memorial honors 16.1 million who served, 292,000 who died."  Yes, we had 16.1 million people in the military service during WW2.  My Father was a WW1 vet, wounded two times, married with us five Fox kids, and he served also in WW2.  What transpired with our present Americans that only 25 percent are qualified to join the military?

We have highly paid professional “ball players” that will not stand at the raising of our flag.  Why?  We are presently tearing down old monuments and old state flags; I ask why?

Older people noticed that it is hard to get a “thank you” from young folks.  Even nature-aged people have a problem saying, thank you.  It seems the many like to get gifts, but see no need to say thank you. Strange is it not?

We pray that things will change for the better.  MAY GOD BE WITH US TO DO THAT WHICH IS RIGHT.
